It is an exciting moment to have two articles on my blog discussed and referenced in the May 2008 edition of MSDN Magazine. Thanks to Ethan Wilansky for a great article in MSDN Magazine, and for making this happen!

There is a new ring tone that apparently only kids can hear. As I understand it, this sound was initially developed to drive kids away from stores and storefronts leaving the adults in peace and quiet.
I had to test this out for myself and I cannot hear the ring at all, even with the volume set to the max and my ear only inches from the speaker. On the other hand, my son (14) and my daughter (16) were able to hear it from across the room – easily. Just to make sure he wasn’t pulling my leg I told him to turn is back and go across the room. He was able to tell me when I started and stopped the sound – instantly.
It’s official, I’m old. :) :(
Here is the MP3 audio file. Try it out for yourself. Even better, try it with your kids. Here is the MP3 file KidsOnlyRingtone. Here is the source article from Fox News..

I tend to get quite a few emails via my blog so I thought I would post a quick note to say that I will not be able to respond to emails for the next three weeks. I will be spending most of my free time (evenings and weekends) preparing for a significant career opportunity. I hope to resurface with good news soon.
For those of you that had questions regarding the licensing for BusyBox, I have entered the free use license agreement as a feedback item on the BusyBox page. I will update the article to contain the license agreement in the future – hopefully soon. In short, you can use it for whatever you want as long as you understand that you are using it at your own risk and that I am not liable.
Thanks

I am just over half way through the Dennis Prager book "Happiness is a Serious Problem". This is an excellent little handbook and well worth the read. The entire book is only about 160 pages with each chapter ranging from 3 to 7 pages in length.
I recommend this book for anyone who views happiness as an important part of life, or for those who feel they do not have the happiness in their life they would like. The chapters can be read in any order, or as desired. As a parent, I find this book to be an invaluable read for anyone who has children or plans on having children.
Dennis Prager is a very good communicator. You won’t be disappointed.
